However in general deleting the private tags will not shrink much the
profile size...

Given that the purpose is only inclusion in a PDF file as reference
(source) profile,  it'd be great if all the B2A (pcs->device) tables
could be replaced by a single one (generic, fake, placeholder),
super-small grid size, referenced by all the rendering intents. THAT
would shrink the size significatively. For further shrinking, in the
event that 3 real and separate A2B (device->pcs) tables existed,
replacing them also by a single one (colorimetric) would be nice.

And for a killer feature, that such a function be a feature of the
'distilling' software or of a PDF processing software (PDF Enhancer or
PDF Shrink, for example).
