When I :-

1 profile an Epson R1800 using i1/iMatch,

2 print an image of the GM ColorChecker target (with correct values entered in CS2) using that profile on Epson Premium Glossy,

3 read the printed patches with i1/iShare,

4 enter them into a copy of the ColorChecker target in CS2,

5 and compare them with the true values using Rags Gardner's Read_Macbeth_Patches script
(http://www.rags-int-inc.com/PhotoTechStuff/MacbethReader/Read_Macbeth_Patches.zip),

I get an overall DeltaE2000 of 3.0 with worst color 6.1.

How does this compare with the top profile-making software? Can one get better results than this?

For comparison, when I use the Tom Fors/Rags Gardner/Simon Tindeman scripts for calibrating my D2x in ACR/CS2, I can get the overall DeltaE down to about 1.5 with the ColorChecker patches.
