I'm having trouble believing you. There are some fairly convincing
stories of people buying LCD2690WUXi and successfully running
SpectraView software with them, when they were finally able to
get a copy. In any case, if what you say is true, the press release
and specifications on the LCD2690WUXi is highly misleading in
stating that it runs with SpectraView II, and that SpectraView II
is available as an option with the LCD2690WUXi monitors.
There is at least one story of from someone in Australia who has been
mislead into buying an LCD2690WUXi on the basis of being able to
get a copy of SpectraView II, and then being frustrated in such
attempts. This is not a good look for NEC.
I for one am suddenly much more interested in what Samsung has to offer,
rather than jumping through the hoops of obtaining a copy of SpectraView
software from the U.S., or the considerable expense involved in the NEC
SpectraView labelled product for stuff I don't need.
