Xerox Phaser 7760 & iGen3

I was hoping for some advice on our color management here at Penn State. In
advance, I am relatively new to color management, so I apologize for the
³newbie² questions.

We have installed an iGen 3 and Xerox is working with us to fine tuning
color output by adjusting the various input/output settings as well manually
adjusting curves at the RIP, particularly PMS colors, to closely match
offset work that is produced here as well.

We have a demo model of a Phaser 7760DN, and ideally would like this to
³closely match² the output of the iGen.

We have GM EyeOne to do color measurements and calibrations, as well as
EyeOne Match 3.6.1 software.

Looking over the literature from Xerox, it appears that we will need to
purchase the PhaserMatch software to generate the ICC profile for color
correction (generated by the PhaserMatch software from the ICC profile for
the 7760 and the ICC profile of the iGen ‹ I believe they refer to this as a
TekColor Correction) and then download this to the 7760. Is this the case?

I have lots of other questions regarding this scenario, and I¹d like to
start off on the right path.

Thank you.
