Why would one prefer a LED light source other than for longevity? They
are inherently spikey, no? It still seems to me that the pulsed Xenon
light source of the SpectroCam was a very good choice. A much smoother
more continuous spectrum. Is that not true?

Yes, just like the iSis. iSis uses the latest, greatest EyeOne tech
with LED lightsources. Presumably we will have LED EyeOne pros in the
near future.
