Wow I just looked on HP's site at the Z2100! 200+ years and a Dmax for
blacks that is better than Epson, is what they claim. The Dmax is so
important for my fine prints. It is why I have stuck with the Epson 7000
with dye inks for so long, trading longevity for image quality. And now
that I can afford a new printer, I will have to research this matter
more thoroughly, getting test prints from Epson's 7800 and HP's Z2100. I
wonder if there are any dealers that carry both and can make test
prints. Hmmm.
Regards,
David

Thomas,
There is no question that the GMG Colorproof RIP and the HP Z2100 with its
on-board spectro head is phenomenal. It's perfect in every way. And even
compared to K3 prints, using the same RIP and paper, it's even more perfect.
Everyone that seen the difference between the to printers agree the HP proof
is better -- bar none!
And that's not just for proofing anymore: GMG allows RGB printing. Work
just as great.
