Let's not forget that the normal operational variability of a
spectrophotometer like the EyeOne Pro, for example, is in that range (0.3 or
so from one measurement to the next of even the very same specimen).

So one must be very careful to claim such low DeltaE values, because often
enough they match the magnitude of the variability in a typical measuring
instrument (not reference-grade).

Unless one is using very pricey reference-grade tools (a spectroradiometer
or the like), I tend to view these extremely low values as debatable, at the
very least.

At any rate, I would consider a DeltaE 2000 below 1 a good achievement
already. Extremely low values like the ones mentioned here sound to me more
boastful than realistically verifiable without resorting to far costlier
tools.
