I've read the ICC specs (v2 and v4) and I see how the n-dimensional
LUTs are saved in a profile. But I've so far not been able to find
any information on the web how such a CLUT is evaluated so that say
incoming RGB turns into the profile's PCS.
As I've learned from other posts, most CMSs will actually combine
the transforms from to profiles into ONE transform, so things are
executed faster. But still, I would like to know in detail which
operations are really needed just to do one transform to or from PCS.
Can someone here give me a pointer where I might find such
information?
If you are able to read sourcecode, have a look at argyll cms (http://
www.argyllcms.com) and littlecms (http://www.littlecms.com).
Likewise colorsync develloper is a good place.
