The Colorvision Spyder II Express is $54 on Amazon.com. I know Colorvision
was discussed to death recently, but $54 is hard to beat.

Subject: Dell laptop profiling
A friend in Venice, CA just bought a new Dell Latitude laptop, 17"
dual processor, along with Creative Suite 3 (design collection). He's
asked what would be the proper method for calibrating and profiling,
without spending a fortune.
I'm sorry to use words like "proper" and "fortune," but given that
he's not going to be preparing color critical files, nor needing to
sync his screen to anyone else's, I think he could probably get by
with a lower-end solution. As I'm on a Mac, with a CRT, my
experience with a Spyder package doesn't qualify me to advise him for
a PC laptop.
What range of solutions might anyone on this list suggest?
Regards,
Don Dennis
