Hello Jurgen,
Efi Designer Edition (EDE) is not very accurate in generic form, mainly because lack of base linearization feature.
If you want work with really good results, you have 2 choices:
1) best: let somebody make base linearization and color profile for you (your printer, paper, inks, rip & printer settings) in full version of Colorproof; then you can adapt base linearization and patched profile to EDE, and you get similar results, like with Colorproof. This way you can make profiles for non-standard papers too. Be aware about versions, EFI change type of base linearization in new versions, so you need appropriate versions both EDE and Colorproof ...
2) still good: if you are using one of the supported papers for your printer (or, very very similar paper), you can make profile for existing base linearization. Set EDE for paper you are using, and disable CMS (EDE keep selected base linearization). Print target a make profile in third party sw (monaco profiler, PM). Patch profile with base linearization via Profile Connector. Only issue is find as close existing base linearization, as possible - or use supported paper - but custom profile can deliver good results for you.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
