Roger,

GRACOL are NOT printing sepcifications but a METHOD to meet the ISO specs.

Flexo, silk-screen or nay… to aim the SAME CIELab values as SWOP and GRACOL? Are you serious!

FTA is supporting the G7 method, NOT matching the CIELab value of offset ink… I hope!

GATF is not a standard. But I sense that you know that isn't either. SWOP
and GRACoL are printing specifications for web and sheetfed offset
respectively. And there is nothing that prevents flexo, silk-screen or any
other print process to aim for the same CIELab values as SWOP and GRACoL. As
a matter of fact, the FTA has embraced the G7 method and encourages his
members to print to the GRACoL2006 numbers.


Sure, flexo is not offset.
