Well, yes, but selecting Preview in the print dialog causes a rendering to be displayed in the Mac Preview program.

Ah I see. Well Preview's behavior is like I said, it matches from the embedded profile if any to the system profile which should be the profile of the default display chosen in ColorSync Utility. I don't know offhand what profile if any Photoshop adds to that file being previewed, or where that file is. Probably somebody on the list does.
