Mark,
Are you interested only in the "visible" range, i.e. 380nm to 730nm?
If yes then you can use an EyeOnePro with the ambiant diffuser and a tool
like BabelColor's CT&A to make all the spectral irradiance readings you can
to take.
But if you're interested in a wider spectral range then you'll need to turn
to spectrometers like Ocean Optics's USB2000 or USB4000. These things can
read deep into the UV and the IR, provided with the correct slit and
grating. They cost a little more money but they'll get you what you want.
