Hi.
I have had this on two or three macs I take care of. A fast way to
bypass this problem is to make a new user on the machine and perform
the calibration from there.
Then you will have to move or copy the new profile from the new user
to the regular user (user/Library/ColorSync/Profiles). I did this just
this morning with my own mac that suddenly was not willing to co-
operate.
All the maintenance suggested in the previous posts are great too
although they will probably not solve this matter.

Thanks everyone for helping with this problem.
The general thinking from people is that:
a) HP printer drivers may be conflicting with i1Match - I have
removed all of then but get the same crash.
b) There is a permissions problem - I have checked and repaired
permissions with Onyx and Disk Utility, nothing has changed. X-rite
support have suggested manually checking and changing permissions of
the i1Match Application Folder. I've done this (and set all folders
inside to Read/Write) but nothing has changed
c) To confirm questions that several people have asked, I only moved
my Account information from my old iBook to the MacBook. All
applications were installed fresh using the latest versions.
Extra Info:
I've been able to test my i1 Display and i1Match software on my
parent's iMac this morning (late 2007 model running 10.5.5).
Everything works fine which supports what most people are thinking,
that the problem is with my OS.
X-rite support contacted me a second time this morning and have
asked for my crash logs. I'll post any info they send back because
it may help others.
It's looking like the solution will be an Archive - Install or Erase
- Install of Leopard. So much for my weekend!

Hi all
I'm really hoping someone can help, I'm sure this topic must have
croppedup
before but I can only find a reference to i1 Match 3.4 here...
I've just bought a MacBook Pro and am trying to calibrate the laptop
screen
and an external display using i1 Display2 amd i1 Match software. I
have been
using this software and hardware combination for a year on my old
iBook G4
which runs OS X 10.4.11
Symptoms:
1) i1 Match crashes at same point, just at end of the calibration
process
and before saving the profile.
2) The software crashes whether running under the "Easy" or
"Advanced" options.
3) The software crashes whether an external keyboard, tablet, hard
drive and
screen are connected to the MBP or not.
4) The software crashes when calibrating either screen (external
screen is a
LaCie Photon20vision II - calibrated many times with same software and
hardware running on an iBook G4)
5) The Crash Reporter shows exactly the same error every time. I
have the
crash log saved an will post it if necessary and appropriate.
6) Software crashes when running under all user accounts, including
freshly
created account and accounts migrated from my iBook.
Any help will be really appreciated and as I said, I can supply the
Crash
Log if necessary.
