Hello Roger,
I am using the "DCS Book CMYK - Digital Color Scale". It's published
by www.prepress-innovations.de. I can highly recommend this color-
book because it's matching the ISOcoated-printing standard very good.
I use it often to compare specific color-tones between print,
hardcopy-proof and soft-proof.
The Roman-16-pictures are very nice and helpful, but not printed yet
on different paper-types, as I know. I am using this pictures to see
the effect of different renderings between the gamuts and to check
the icc-profile's quality of different monitors and printers (color-
saturation, color-stability, linearity, color-gradient etc.).

Hello Steffen,
Which "DCS-Book CMYK" are you refering to : the roman16 book?
I just calibrated a LaCie 526 with LaCie blue eye pro (automatic
hardware-calibration). The adjustments I use are for D50/D52, gamma
2.2, luminance 160 cd. The visual result is too reddish (in the color
of the skin and red tones > the red is much more saturated). On the
hardcopy-proof, which is visually correct, the specific tones are
matching the tones in the DCS-Book CMYK. If I calibrate with eyeone
match the result is a bit better, but still not that, what I expect
of a wide-gamut monitor. I haven't tested other software-solutions
yet. Additionally I use the softproof-option in Photoshop to have a
better simulation of ISOcoated_v2. In the use with wide-gamut
monitors a must-use-option, I guess;)
Can anybody in this list share my results?
Thanks in advance,
Steffen Matt
