I need to use this RIP because of the way it integrates with other software
I am using (I tested some of the others you mentioned and liked them but
they would have needed heavy customization to work in the way I needed).
I am in the position of being in an environment that is both 'fine art' and
high production so I need the best of both worlds!
I have Profile Maker and the advanced options for profiling the RIP so I
think I have the tools. (I already have a smoother gradient with the RIP
than the Epson driver but suspect that may have to be played off against
neutrality).
I just don't want to put a lot of hours and ink into something that is not
possible because say, the driver lays down ink in a way that the rip cannot.
If there is nothing like that going on then I'll look at the Epson output in
terms of ink usage in the greys and see if I can reverse engineer it in the
RIP starting with GCR - Thanks.
