Hi David.
Isn't that so ironic? There is a budget for work that wastes time and
resources, but not for work that saves them and increases profits.
It's not all about technology, though: it's also about company politics.
Some people over there may be very good at manipulating the internal
dynamics of the company in their favor, keeping things as they are -- thus
saving their own job and their own hides. Can't blame them completely, if
that is so, from the point of view of their professional survival.
The company suffers for it in waste of resources, loss of productivity, and
decreased competitiveness, but has not a clue, possibly.
I may be incorrect, but I've seen similar things before.
