Hi Roger,

From the press release, it appears to be just a single iteration, not several iterations like GMG does, for instance. Maybe a single iteration can be tolerated in a (few) color conscious press workflows... But, first of all, I'd like to compare the bottom-line difference between the OB new process with the checkbox "Correct for Optical Brightener" present in the current PM5 and verify if it's worth the extra iteration(s).

The press release is not clear if the upgrade for current PM5 and Isis owners (my case!) will have any cost.

Best regards,
Lorenzo

It looks like it's going to require some form of iteration? There are some
reference patches to be viewed under a light booth and the user is supposed
to apply some correction, print the result and compare. If that's the case,
that will only be practical on proofing device which is probably what X-Rite
has been targeting. But that's not going to be practical for the press...

It's going to be worth following up. I'm supposed to get an iSis soon. They
say their OBC solution will be bundled with every iSis. We'll see.

Thank's Lorenzo,

Roger Breton
