Strictly speaking this is off topic, but I think half the members of
this list have already had these issues.
I bought a scrapped Epson 9600, and downloaded the drivers from the net.
The printer apparently needs one set of drivers for Matte Black.
One set of drivers for Photo Black.
One set of drivers for Roll Feed for each of MK and PK.
Then when you load in a different driver it has issues with the
presets of the previous one.
And you need to dig into the profiles with the Colorsync utility and
set the right defaults
And you need to navigate through all those panes. And the driver will
reset the values behind your back occasionnally just to make it
simpler.
And then the printer will somehow lose half your job when you print
under Leopard.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Very nice hardware. Bad software.
RECOMMENDATION: Epson should realize that their hardware is only as
good as the drivers. Which need to be reworked for usability and
functionality.
