Just to add this:

Firefox 3 assumes sRGB for everything NOT tagged
and matches it to the monitor profile if color management
is switched on.
This even is true for colors and background colors.
Flash isn't color managed, as Andrew wrote.

I've heard that Apple is about to change something
in safari beta 4, but havn't had the time to look at it yet.

Ah, how nice it is that we have back 3 big browsers now
that render colors differently ;-)
