According to the NEC website, here :

14309a636738 The NEC LCD2690WUXi2 is IDEAlliance "Proofing certified". To me, that's
interesting. And for about $1300 cdn, I call it very interesting. That's
including the colorimeter and Spectraview software. And say that you guys
have it even cheaper south of the border. Oh well, that's one good economic
news ;-)

Well I was staying off this last discussion series, but there is a

continuing area of research that I am following. What is th best color

Monitor for under $1,800. La Cie has a new 700 series that feature LEDs

and they indicate these displays exceed Adobe 1998 RGB color space.

Their monitor 724 looks like a new bench mark for proofing.

I am not talking prepress, but photoshop screen pre proof prior to

finished edits, and high quality printing. New Epson inks have greater

gamit than the Adobe color space, depending on media. My Imac Intel

cannot approximate either screen brightness or saturation,

effectively. Also in the mix ate the Ezio CG222W and La Cie 324, and

the new NEC LCD 2690 WUXi2, all are around $1,400. Anyone have

    opinions based on use?
