High bit depth is certainly advantageous when making adjustments to files in applications and with display LUTs. But once a 16-bit PCS conversation has taken place from the working space to the print space, it's questionable how much benefit there is to keep that file's extra bit depth if no further adjustments are being made.


Surely some others would like to comment that have actually tested this and seen results? I know I'm not the only one.
