I don't know if I should say thank you or be offended... ;) After
thinking about it some, following the posts very carefully and talking
to a couple of people I decided that since the images were already
"clipped" in sRGB that moving to ProPhoto, DonRGB, etc. would really be
quite pointless. So I've been doing the editing in their native sRGB. As
for the monitors; if you all would like to buy some software I'd be
happy to buy an Eizo or Dream Color.
Heck, for helping get the package together for all the Dream Colors the
least HP could do is to send me one...
All kidding aside I want to thank you all for the information which has
been invaluable. I think sRGB was the best choice for these shots which
were from a Nikon D80 and D100 and a Canon PowerShot S5-IS. All of which
have sRGB as their native color space. The only images I have that are
different that I could find in my archives were from Leaf backs shot by
a local studio who used Colormatch RGB. Otherwise almost everything I
have to pull from is sRGB.
