Todd,
IE is STILL not color managed. So the images still look a little
oversaturated on my HP Dreamcolor display. However, if I view the images on
my MAC or in FireFox on my PC, they look fine. My main concern was in the
"save for web" setting as it was doing me no good to examine the effects of
various compression levels if the color was so far off. Now at least I can
view the images just prior to uploading them and know exactly what they will
look like.
In the "Save for Web" dialog, I use the "Use Document Color Profile" since I
had already converted to sRGB while in Photoshop. I can also toggle the
"Standard Windows Color" and "Standard MAC Color" just for a look see. I
assume these are just illustrative of the different gamma points (1.8 and
2.2). The Standard Windows Color appears to match the "Document Color
Profile" exactly, which would now make sense since my display profile was
made using 2.2 as well.

Hi Robert
Um... could you enlighten the rest of us how this solved your problem?
The images now appear OK on the web in IE7? My understanding is that
IE7 doesn't do color management, so no profiles will be respected and
you would get the appearance that you see by assigning your monitor
profile. If things now look OK on your HP dreamcolor, I imagine they
won't look so good on a 'regular' display.
What settings did you have in the pop-up window and what did you
change them to in order to correct the problem?
Thanks!
