Hi Faro.
I misunderstood your query. My apologies for that.
If, after calibrating both CRT and LCD display to the same (a) given
luminance *and* (b) color temperature, (c) profiling each and (d) making
sure to activate the profile for each display, you see that the LCD is "much
brighter" than the CRT, I would review the procedure, because the two ought
to appear much closer to one another than such a description would suggest.
