The LaCie colorimeter is obviously adapted to the screen you are
using. If you want better quality software you could turn to
Basiccolor Display or ColorEyes Display, both of which offer superior
control of monitor calibration. ColorMunki is indeed a
spectrophotometer, but as a package it is not intended for a
sophisticated user, and will not of necessity be an improvement on the
monitor you are using. A tuned colorimeter is generally considered at
least equivalent to a spectro when used on the display it is intended
for.
