- Thread-topic: Double profiling - 7880 and ColorSync
I just went to print an image on a 7880 via Photoshop (CS3) using one of my
own profiles.
The print was rather washed out - obviously not right. After assorted
checking I found that in the printer dialogue (10.4.11) the ColorSync bit
(you know, the bit you normally ignore ;-) had changed the profile to '7880
Standard' from the usual Generic RGB.
A bit of poking round with the colorsync utility and general tidying things
up (lots of old test profiles laying around :-) and it's back to normal.
Not something I've seen happen before, and with the nature of
tidying/experimenting, I'm not sure exactly what fixed it, or what I did to
break it in the first place...
Anyone have any comments or pointers to an explanation?
Thanks :-)
Keith Cooper
