I don't think it works like that. The bandwidth is basically limited
by the slit size and the nature of the diffraction grating. Even
looking at the 3.33 nm CCD values, the effective bandwidth is something
like 10nm, and the 10nm spaced readings are worse again. Even if
the CCD cells have noticeable gaps between them, the optical wavelength
discrimination isn't fine enough for light of certain wavelengths to
simply disappear.
