This discussion is about digital camera RAW processing. Where is Adobe
"choosing technology solutions specifically to shut out third parties" in
digital camera RAW processing?
Adobe has documented their basic RAW processing technology, their color
profile details, and their file format needs in the public DNG specification
and the DNG SDK. Adobe has gone further and sought to establish DNG as an
ISO standard (still in process, and knowing the ISO, going to take a little
while).
I see no evidence of "shutting out third parties". If anything, Adobe is
making it as easy as possible for third parties to work with them.
