Spin your favorite images
through ACR and through DPP or Nikon View or C1 or Leaf or whatever
the converter is of the company who made your camera and compare the
color for yourself. You don't need Ulli or me for that.
I've compared Nikon Capture NX with ACR several times, using a CC24 measured
with my own i1 and a D2x, and ACR with its old standard profile, produced
more accurate color overall than Nikon Capture in any of its six or seven
'looks'.
But the main complaint from users of LightRoom and ACR is not that the
colors are not accurate enough, but that they don't look like they do in
jpgs straight from the camera - they don't have the camera makers 'look'.
That is why Adobe has added the new profiles that give you the equivalent of
all the camera makers 'looks' - to satisfy the consumers!
Bob Frost.
