BTW, Ulli, what were the exact 6500 and 2850 light sources you used
for the images ?
Since this test was performed as an afterthought in the context of the
discussion on this list, they were "quick and dirty" ones. I used my
the image taken with my studio flashes for 6500 K and a conventional
halogen lamp for 2850 K. In both cases, color temperature deviation
was < 100 K, and I figured that had to be "good enough" for a quick
and dirty test, especially so since the DNG Profile Editor was
described as a free and simple alternative to the more expensive
profiling packages in the discussion on this list. The documentation
available for the DNG Profile Editor says nothing about allowed
illuminant tolerances.
