Hi Edmund and everyone,
I can assure you that Adobe does not use light sources with spiky spectra for building color profiles, nor has Adobe ever done so in the past. We do occasionally use light source with spiky spectra for doing tests (just to see how well profiles hold up under various lighting conditions, or not). We do also very carefully take into account any non-uniformities in the lighting, which I feel we are better able to do than usual, because we are working with the raw (i.e., linear) data, not rendered data.
Hope this helps.
Eric
