Hi,
Does anyone have any experience with profiling the new Dreamcolor
display?
I've had one for about a fortnight and am extremely happy with it.
There is a slight colour shift, green-pink, left right, but it's not
prohibitive to working, although obviously I would prefer it to be
perfect.
HP supply no documentation at all, about profiling it (pretty
appalling, seeing as it's the whole point of the monitor) and this is
the first monitor that I have owned that offers a choice of colour
spaces :
Full
AdobeRGB
Rec. 601
sRGB
Rec. 709
DCI P3 Emulation
I have set it to a colour space, then profiled it. The colour-space
in the menu then has 'User' in front of it, to show that it has been
profiled and presumably, that the user-profile should be used with
it. I've done this for 3 of the colour-spaces. I'm assuming that
this is the correct procedure for each colour-space you might want to
use.
I'm also looking for comments about using the Full colour-space in
particular. When might it be appropriate, advantages / disadvantages?
Any help most welcome,
Grant
