As someone who's run a ScanMate 5000 (last century), Howtek's as well,
I can assure you they don't produce a Raw file, certainly not anything
like the Raw data from a CCD/CMOS single shot camera capture discussed.
You are confused by the term Raw here. But then, that doesn't surprise
me.
