That seems to lead to a conundrum then, since self backing is
needed for profiles to match the visual result. I guess that
it's possible to use different backings for profiling and
verification,
but it's unfortunate then that they are disconnected, making
it cumbersome to accurately track verification errors back through the
color processing chain.
