Stewart,

Have you ever measured the color of inks on a printed uncoated sheet?

Regardless of what press being used to print it, uncoated paper will never
have the sparkle and vividness of a number 1 coated sheet (GRACoL2006_C1).

If I were you and if you had access to a spectro, I'd suggest you measure
the solids and overprints (RGB) off a good, printed uncoated sheet. Then
compare to GRACoL2006_C1, you'll find an ocean of difference between the
two.

Unfortunately, as of today, IDEAlliance has not come forward with an
Uncoated dataset. (Not that I would personally know of) So we're left pretty
much to ourselves to agree on what "good" uncoated printing ought to be --
unless you want to adopt one of the standard Fogra uncoated datasets
(nothing wrong with that).
