Normally device-links do NOT have source or destination profile information
in them.

Beside the mentioned 'pseq' tag exists since 2007 a 'psid' profileSequenceIDentifier tag to do for device link profiles what its name says [1].

Link-o-lator does allow the user to optionally embed either source or
destination profile in the link (un-encoded, and extractable). To my
knowledge only Chromix Colorthink supports this "mega-link" and can then
extract profiles out of the link at a later time.

Years ago we did record those profile tags with the colorsync registry, and
they are lsrc and ldst, (link source or link destination) if anyone else
wants to support a standard way of embed meta-data about a link - feel free.

The ICC tag registration PDF[2] does not cover specifications, which can be implemented. Some example files, to test the implementation, would be helpful as well. A internet search does not come up with meaningful information for lsrc + your company or ICC.

kind regards
