Yes, Marco, you and the others are correct. I confused the issue by
introducing that information at all. Of course, I am aware of the difference
you describe but I confused the reasoning in my quick reply to the post (I
didn't think it through all the way before clicking send).
While we will continue to use an RGB workflow (late-binding) for the reasons
I stated (and others), the reasons we don't use a RIP are unrelated to the
ones I listed in my post. They have more to do with logistics which have
nothing to do with technical correctness.
I hope that clears it up.
