I think that Solution 2 of Brian's response (from the digest) may
refer to what I was talking about. If a RIP does a conversion, and
the tagged profile is not the same as the output profile assigned at
the RIP, you will see the problem of CMYK black. So was the tagged
profile the same as what was assigned at the RIP, or is that even moot
since the file was converted to an EPS prior to going to the RIP?
Such are the mysteries of life.
