Unfortunately, I do not know the details (not having worked on the print
programming code myself).
Here is what I do know:
The documentation to perform what you seek (Apple-recommended way to
disable CM for the purposes of doing things like printing test charts)
is not public. I do not know the reasons for this. I do know that the
required documentation (basically an API call) is available from Apple,
but most likely you have to request it from them directly. Supposedly
Apple provides this documentation regularly to the major printer makers.
But in any case, if you're looking for the appropriate programming
interfaces, you will need to follow up with Apple. The public ColorSync
documents do not cover this.

What is the new, official way to disable color management during
printing, so as to be able to print test charts ?
[Feel free to point towards programming information, although
I'm sure other on this list will more be interested in application
information.]
