I'll admit I'm not as familiar with the Kodak "KPS" Rip as I am with GMG.
But if I remember correctly, there was a post on the List, in spring, where
someone was telling us about EFI Colorproof XF v4 now offering their own,
proprietary screening, for the e9900. Recently, a Fuji support specialist
explained that the e9900 offered these new advanced digital screening
"built-in", in hardware, meaning that the host application, somehow, no
longer needs to "screen" the data prior to sending to the printer?
BTW, don't Oris and EFI (and GMG 05?) also have the capabilities of rolling
back the media in to measure a printed control strip with the on-board
instrument, and then roll the media back out to print a "quality control"
ticket? How is KPS approach unique?
Best / Roger
