Unit Conversion

Hello folks,

I am trying to convert micro-Watts/cm2 to Watts/m2 units of irradiance.

I have done some quick research on the net (Wikipedia, in particular) and
after some initial trials in Excel, I find I end up with ridiculously low
converted values?

In seems that, to convert from micro-Watts to Watts, one has to divide by
100,000 since 1 micro-Watt is equal to 1 millionth of a Watt.

To convert cm2 to m2, one has to divide by 10,000 (100cm x 100cm = 1 m2).

So this micro-Watt value, 0.10145, ends-up as 0,00000000010145 for instance.

Does that conversion make sense?

Best / Roger
