Hi Eric,
Keep in mind that ImageControl isn't cheap. Only printers with deep pockets
can afford such offerings.
I, personally, have yet to complete a full calibration and profiling cycle
on this very piece of equipment. But I can tell from my humble experience
with HDM products that they are very, very well thought of. There is a level
of integration in their products that no other "printing" company in the
world can match -- from prepress workflows, to ICC profiling, to process
calibration (including gray balance), to plate making, to presses, binding
and finishing equipment. I think the only thing HDM doesn't offer is paper.
But otherwise, it's a complete offering. Anyone walking in the door of this
company can literally find everything under one roof.
