The white point in the official data set is L*92.5 a*0 b*0, so it seems to
be a little on the dark side. I just read a slightly aged sheet of Fortune
gloss, the most common stock for dot-based SWOP3 proofs, and got L*93 a*0.3
b*-1.2. I think Fortune has gotten a bit brighter recently, but we make a
lot of inkjet proofs matching the Official SWOP3 data set. We use CGS
Commercial proofing paper, and the white point is almost perfect without any
paper sim.
