I believe that the actual numbers from the IDEAlliances data set is
L 93 a0 b0.
However, from my experience, many customers are purchasing a #3 paper that
might be a little bluer then the current standard. Can we all say UV
additives? It is the same with the #5 sheets out there. I know of at least
one proofing supply vendor who is releasing adjusted papers that reflect
this trend. I have also heard rumor that there might be alternative paper
whites blessed by SWOP but that could all just be talk. I have missed
several weeks worth of comments so this discussion may have already
happened.
Trimming off all "native" paper white is a must however, regardless of
what you might be spraying. We always use paper color to represent the
stock. We have found the for the most part, that is not a discussion to
have standing next to giant rolls of paper when plates have been made.
Just kindly advice.
