Scott,
Shame on me. I tought all that was required was the DisplayPort connector?
So I did not bother to connect the USB cable to the host computer silly
me. No, I havent tried with either ColorEyes DisplayPro or basiCColor
Display (I didnt want to bother with the activation business for the
purposes of my tests, didnt have access to the internet, and so on...).
This being said, if I may ask, what do you mean by control the hardware
brightness via DDC? Is it known that this monitor has some internal
hardware LUT?
Best / Roger

Ah! I thought you meant the new iMacs. So you and I are talking about the
same thing -- good. I am using the DisplayPort connector. But, to your
knowledge, has Apple left the Brightness slider in for this display at all?
It just isnt there for me.
Is the USB cable connected directly to your mac? Have you tried
disconnecting all other USB cables? Have you tried the brightness buttons on
the keyboard? And have you tried letting ColorEyes or BasICColor control the
hardware brightness via DDC?
