I agree that tolerances may have to be adjusted when changing delta E
formulae, but I don't think that simply halving the delta E76 tolerances is
appropriate. In fact, I don't feel that the JND of 1 needs loses any
significant relevance from dE76 to dE2000, but in fact gains relevance
(based on my completely unscientific visual analysis). I see that where
scaling of tolerances would be appropriate would be at higher difference
values.
