It wasn't my intention that dE2000 be used to cheat tolerances, rather that
it would yeild a value that more closely correlates with visual perception.

Can't say that I've heard this coming from the graphic arts community
myself. In fact I hear more often hat dE76 is too simple a formula to yield
consistent relevant data and that dE2000 is more often being
implemented/considered.
