One of the weaknesses of Plasma displays has been the pixel level control. The native response is linear, and the initial displays had only something like 16 or 32 linear levels, making for very poor shadows and gross posterization. The "fix" was to dither like crazy, leading to a lot of dynamic noise and noticeable remaining posterization. Do you think the display you refer to has effectively tackled this problem ?
