I’ve Googled inkjet proofing materials for clear vinyl – not much I

I've used a clear, self-adhesive polyester film to print with UV inks

Not sure if this is "close enough" to what you'll eventually be
printing on, as it comes with a clear release liner. Not cheap either
at about $1 per square foot.
I'll try to get you a link; so far the product number doesn't register
on my vendor's website
If you're proofing on ink jet & can substitute a suitable release
liner for your vinyl end-material, this may work OK.
Alternate would be to profile for this stuff with the release liner in
place, assuming you have the proper hardware & can "adjust" for the
final vinyl product without its paper release liner.
I'd like to know how permanent your end-product is expected to be; I
have a need for short-run stuff of this nature but prior products
haven't lasted too long compared to silk-screen inks. _______________________________________________
